A single side of this multi-record collection reads like a snapshot of 1970s radio at its most eclectic. Side 8 of Superstars of the 70's moves from the Southern rock of the Allman Brothers Band to Aretha Franklin’s soul, the Faces’ swagger, Graham Nash’s singer-songwriter sound, the Rolling Stones, and the progressive rock of Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
This is the second record from the Superstars of the 70's multi-album set that’s been transformed into artwork, but it features a completely different side and song lineup from the first. The original vinyl is surrounded by a hand-painted mandala in rich teal, green, orange, rust, and gold tones, creating a warm retro design that feels right at home with the music of the era. The original Warner Special Products label remains visible at the center, keeping the identity of this particular record and Side 8 intact.
For someone whose musical tastes never fit neatly into one genre, this piece celebrates what made 1970s music so memorable—the ability to move from soul to rock to singer-songwriter favorites and progressive music, all within the same collection.

Someone who built their record collection around songs rather than genres, a 1970s music fan who remembers hearing these artists side by side, a collector who loves compilation albums, a nostalgic milestone gift, or an eye-catching piece for a den, record room, office, or eclectic living space.
I also create custom hand-painted mandalas on vinyl records inspired by your favorite artist, album, song, or personal story.
